I have asked to see the books several times and no response. I was told that all the monies due charities were paid out. I disagree I have records where $2,255.00that was put in for the Speedway Children Charities. I see no one seems to post anything on the board anymore. If the club is breaking up then we need to get all the monies in the bank to the charities. Hopefully monies have not been used for other events. Lets get this straightened out and soon. Any monies spent by the club have to have approval of the club as stated in the by laws. It is not the clubs money. When we stopped taking dues the club had less than 400 dollars that was from dues. Personally I was told the money would be given but the club just wanted to hold on to if for what ever reason. Bottom line the money is not the clubs! Waiting for a response

While this is not the forum for this discussion I'll state that all monies have been accounted for and reported at each annual meeting as required by the by-laws. Said reports were handed to each member at the annual meetings and approved at that time when we had a quorum.

Any and all expenditures were approved by the board as required in the by-laws. All dues monies are, in point of fact, the clubs and are not designated as charitable funds and may be used as the board/club decides for events, expenses, etc., per the by-laws.

I have a receipt for $1546.43 that was donated from the auction of the 2011 Helenblitz, this money never went through the clubs account (per Carol), I was given the money and in turn wrote a personal check to the SCC. When we stopped taking dues we did discuss donating the balance of our accounts over time but I don't believe that we earmarked it all for the SCC at that time. We didn't want to completely deplete our funds because there are some minor expenses that we have and we wanted to spread it out over a couple of years, but we also didn't make any donations last year. We can discuss further at our 4/20 get together and we will decide on an amount to donate and to whom we will donate it.
