Hey guys, had a bit of a weird occurrence on Friday and I'm hoping someone can tell me what happened.

I'd been driving the car pretty hard all day, battling my way through I5 traffic (first time, geez, crazy.) and after about three hours I arrived at my hotel in SeaTac.

I parked the car, and inadvertently put it in gear and released the clutch without shutting off the engine, so of course it stalled.

Went inside for 5 minutes to check in, and when I tried to start the car to move it, it started, revs dropped to zero, and it just died on me. I tried a second time, giving it a little gas, and it fired up fine.

Battery and plugs are both brand new, both installed at the dealer recently.

It gave me no more trouble over the weekend, but I was worried every time I had to stop somewhere, afraid I'd be stranded in Port Angeles.

Can anyone tell me what might have gone wrong?

 

Shut down with fuel in the motor...so when you first cranked it,t it acted like it was flooded....a bit of a crank to clear it, then a normal start...that is what i think happened.
