I think this depends on what your plans are for your MINI. Do you autox? Doing this just for looks? I think the stock brakes on the MINI do a great job with the right pads, so IMO they are not needed. Get some stainless brake lines and a good set of pads and rotors, then spend the money on other mods. Just my 2 cents.

It's time for new rotors and pads, so I figured this would be a good upgrade. The most I do is a little canyon fun. I am putting on BC coilovers in the next couple weeks. I'm running 15 wheels so a big brake kit isn't going to happen and I don't want to spend that much.

R56 S brakes with Carbotech XP10s will do you just fine.
