Just Picked Up a CM

Ok- here is my countryman story. Got a wild hair and decided to pull the trigger today. Told salesman not to waste my time and he would have a sale. Walked in at 2:30, signed paperwork at 4:30 and left the place at 5:30.
Basic crystal silver- auto trans- no climate, no Xenons but digging the car even without (and saved good dough)..
The dealership offered $400 less for my car- so I asked to take it off the list price. Oh we at Mini don't need to drop the list price. Okay so I guess I will have to go elsewhere. 5 minutes later- sir we took $500 off list. Got a 1.9% rate which I was pretty tickled about. Oh and I am a tad older then probably a bunch of you and black rims don't do a thing for me and so I asked them to swap them out for the basic steel alloy? and they did that with no problem.
So- got a free hat, free rubber floor mats, 2 keys and a bunch of small trinkets.
Overall very very pleased with the transaction.
Da car- I had never test driven it and man did I have fun tolling around after i left. Really really dig the small features behind the buttons and signals. Really like that 3 click turn signal thing.
Radio not as bad as I was lead to believe on this forum. Same with the run flats. I was gonna buy tires and have them install at point of sale but decided to try them out for a while. Couple wicked bumps in the road put the boys in my throat but overall not as bad as I was thinking. Car accelerates smooth and with power and tacked well at 75 to 80 mph on the highway for about 30 minutes.
The only thing that left me wondering was when I pulled into the garage and turned it off. The fan ran and ran and ran. Not used to that so will keep an eye out.
Oh and did get the extended warranty- I won't even mention what I paid cause I would faint all over again- Since the interest was so good I just rolled it into the note. But now good for 100K
So good dealer experience, very good first drive experience now just debating whether to get regular rubber.

Ok full day 1 of motoring and @minilynsk- you are right I dig the heck out of this car.
Pros
- seems to be well built- solid-
- this thing frigging flies- hit that turbo and off you go
- really am surprised about the run flats- they just aren't that bad- I purposely drove over small potholes and bumps in the road and no major jolts- etc.
- radio (this may not be something new- but to me it was) but that radio station within a radio station (HD)thing is way way to cool. A basic R&B station here had an HD jazz station inside the main station- Who knew?
- guess this is a car you should read the owners manual or you will miss out on some cool feature.

Cons
- yeah the sunroof is pretty durn noisy both wide open or just partially on the highway- didn't mind it on back roads or main streets.

Overall- reason I wanted the CM was to put the fun back into driving and this car delivers.

Congrats on the new toy!

The fan running after power-down is normal, and the time it continues to run will vary depending on how warm it is, which depends on how hard it's been run.

Best of luck, and remember --

Congrat! Your whole spontaneous purchasing experience was almost identical to mine. I pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2013 All4 manual. (I posted a thread with my details a few minutes ago). Such a fun car!!

@Ed- thanks for the headsup about the fan. @ZZnalg- yeah sometimes you just gotta do it. Happy motoring. I hope you got some free rubber floor mats. They fit perfectly and probably saved- $50-100 bucks. Just purchased a 13 Honda CRV and had to pay $100 for the floormats.
