I bought an '08 R56 recently with 24k on the odo and it came with 17" ASA AR1 wheels. I'm NOT enjoying the rough ride of the thin sidewalls on the 17" wheels and wanted to go back to 16" factory wheels and tires.

Just ordered a set of new-car takeoffs from an R55 in style 119 6-star Twin Spoke wheels with TPMS installed and new Conti tires w/ 0 miles.

Here's my question...

Will the lug bolts currently bolting my ASA AR1 wheels on ALSO fit the factory Clubman S wheels? Or will I need to order a new set of lug bolts?

Obviously I'm eager to put them on when they arrive so would love to order alternative lug bolts NOW if I'm going to need them.

Not sure if ANYBODY can answer you question without more info....like are the bolts on you rims the stock ones? Folks sometimes DO change them for reasons other than length....head size...tuner, or higher security, or sometimes looks....
You could take one out...and measure it's length, then compare the length and even the head to replacements sold by different vendors...the length of the stock, and nonstock are both listed....then compare the head.

 

Do your lug bolts look like these?



If so, then they should work with the OEM 16" wheels. Stock length is fine as is the taper
