New to this forum and coming from the motorcycle world of modifications galore, I'm thinking about doing something with my Cooper S, once I get it, comparable to what I did with my motorcycle: Changing the plain white speedometer face for a customized face with a graphic that says, "me"!

Here is the speedometer face from my motorcycle as-shipped originally:

And, here is how it looks on the bike:


The question becomes ... has anyone taken apart the speedometer on their Cooper (removing the needle safely, BTW) and changed out the faceplate?
