Does anyplace sell the JCW chili red brake ducts SEPARATELY?

Placed an order for a CMS today. Added the JCW design package (chili red mirror caps and brake ducts) as well. Thing is I also have leftover chili red mirror caps from my R57S that will fit the CMS. So, does anyplace sell ONLY the red brake ducts ?

Please advise ASAP. If it's possible to get the brake ducts separately, I will call the dealer first thing tomorrow and remove the JCW design package to save a few bucks. Thx!!!

If I already had a set of red mirror caps, I'd choose to delete the package and take my time deciding what to do about the brake duct trim. The JCW design package isn't installed at the factory anyway. It's just a dealer retrofit, and there will be an extra charge for installation -- even the configurator says so. And since it's a retrofit, it doesn't matter whether you order it now or get it later.

In the parts list, I could only find the red duct trim as part of a kit with mirror caps: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...41&hg=51&fg=95. Your cheapest option is to paint the parts yourself or have a body shop do it.

I've searched and searched for myself, but no luck I want to get the red brake ducts but keep my black mirror caps. So I may just order the package, then sell the red mirror caps.

The JCW accessories that i ordered (design kit, stripes, and body kit) will be installed free of charge before I pick up the car. No worries about installing the design kit myself though (it's quite easy, from what I've read). I thought about just painting the standard black ducts, but figured it's better to have separate red ones if I ever want to change back. (If you configure the car with the design kit, the dealer should give you the stock parts as well, right? At least this was the case when I configured my R57S with different mirror caps.)

Hmm, I think I should just do what nd3boy says and sell the extra pair of red mirror caps.

The ducts can be ordered pretty cheap and painted. I did just that for my sister's CM. I still have the paint and can knock out another set if need be. Factory red with clear coat. I hit hers with three coats of paint and three coats of clear before color sanding and buffing.

How did the ducts turn out? Is it CHILI red? Any pics? A quick Google search shows that the regular OEM ducts are selling for $11-$12 each plus shipping. If you can knock out a nice set of chili red ducts, I'd seriously, definitely buy a set from you. Please PM me if this is possible.

Maybe you should consider starting a little business!

As I mentioned, they have three coats of clear that was color sanded, cut and buffed. I had all the stuff left over from painting my 84 BMW 533i. The finish turned out very nice, with no orange peel or other problems. She is very pleased with them and actually had the dealership install them when she picked the car up new. The service advisor that put them in took pictures of the car because he thought the black with red accents work well together.

Next, I'm trying to convince her to paint the chrome grill surround.

You can't tell the finish from the picture, but they have three coats of clear then color sanded, cut and buffed. I had all of the stuff left over from painting my BMW. I believe it is Chilli Red. These were for my Sister's car, so she ordered the matching paint. These were actually installed by the dealer service adviser when she picked it up new. She literally began modding her car before she had it.

Some might like matte non-chili red plastidip, but I'd prefer my ducts and mirrors to be chili red with clear coat.

The part numbers for the standard black ones are 51119803939 and 51119803940: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...58&hg=51&fg=15

If you Google those part numbers, the typical price is around $11 each, and I saw one vendor selling them for under $9 each! You'll come out ahead if you can paint them for under $230...

I have been PMing with CalsonicSE on this, and can probably do these in Chilli Red for $100 shipped. As soon as they release my prior post to this thread, you can see the picture I posted.

In full disclosure I would like to say that I did not join the forum to sell anything, or even post in this thread to do that. I realize I have just a few posts, so some might be skeptical as to my motives. My sister recently purchased a new CM and asked me for help and suggestions on it, which is why I joined this forum. I don't own a Mini, but own three BMWs and am a regular and frequent participant on Bimmerforums under the same user name. I was actually sent here from that forum when asking a question about the scuttle.

Let me confirm I have Chilli Red and we can figure it out from there.

I decided to play around with Plasti Dip and my brake ducts after seeing this thread today. 2 hours later here is the result. Blaze Blue.

Sorry, I did a search for them and this thread popped up. Didn't realize the thread was for R60

The JCW red ducts look like this and are sold in the JCW design series package for the R60 Countryman S, SX(ALL4), and JCW.

JCW Design Package - Non Power Fold Mirror 51192185769

&

JCW Design Package - Power Fold Mirror 51192185768

And if you want to buy just the duct sections and have them painted or make something different:

Thanks
