In case anyone was wondering four tires will in fact fit inside of a Mini...

 

Good to know - I'll be doing the same thing shortly.

 

I know that, I take my wheels to the tire shop in the back of the MINI.

 

i suppose you will say i am "cheating" because i have a countryman, but i got 4 205/70R16 unmounted winter tires and 4 boxed 16x6.5 wheels in my cms all4 to go to the tire store to get them mounted

then returned with 4 mounted 225/45R18 summer tires

didn't even move the passenger seat forward

Here is my R50 with 6 tires and 4 wheels (two tires are not mounted like the other 4).

I took 4 mounted tires and wheels to Mickey and MINI last year along with my wife, myself, our bags for the weekend, and a cooler in the clubman. The R55 offers just enough more usable room over the R50 or R56 ever did.

 

I sure was!!! Thanks for the confirmation. I would have hated to buy the tires and then have to make two trips because they didn't all fit.
