What Do Rear Fogs Look Like?

When I ordered my 2013 JCW I neglected to order the rear foglight option. So it came like this - there is one red lens on the driver's side and a lens with the backup light on the passenger side:

My question is what does it look like with the foglight option? Are there two lenses with backup lights? So when the rear fogs are on both red lenses illuminate and when in reverse you have a backup light on both sides?

Also, I am trying to find the lens to match the passenger side and may do that just so they look the same. Does anyone know a part number for the JCW left lens that looks like the right one with the white backup light in the middle? I have searched but they all look like they fit the S models and seem to be shaped differently than what I have here. All I have been able to find for the driver side on the JCW is the solid red one like I already have. Thanks!

Factory fog light option on the S has larger red fog lense with smaller reverse white incorporated in both sides in a different rear skirt than yours. Don't know about your model having matching lense option.

You already have a rear fog light on the left side. Aero kits installed at the factory come with a rear fog light, even if you don't have the rear fog option. It makes the lights asymmetric (like the Clubman taillights).

However, there is a backup light that will fit there. Order part# 63247241801 from the dealer: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...63&fg=20&hl=22
Your car might not be prewired for backup on the left side, and you may need to add your own wiring.

Wow that is just the help I needed, thank you! I looked everywhere for that part. Even if I can't make it light that's OK as the symetrical look is more important to me than the functionality at this point, since the driver's side fog doesn't work anyway. Thanks again, you are awesome.

Just like rkw said, here is the part. You can see from the picture its a mirror image of the right hand side.

Its easy to install, just pops right in check out the pics on the backside.

Thank you as well for that. It seems when I was searching everywhere under "rear fog light" what I should have been searching for was a "back up" light - no wonder I couldn't find it! Thanks again.

You are welcome,

You can always search our site with an OEM MINI / BMW part number. Just use the part search box.
