We now have 1000 miles on our 2013 CM, and we think we have noticed some definite differences in build quality versus the 2012 that BMW replaced because of the electrical problems we had.

We have definitely noticed that the doors (including the tailgate) close with a feeling of higher quality versus the old car, and some of the switchgear simply feels like it's higher-quality.

I have noticed that it seems like 2012 owners have generally had less problems versus 2011 owners, and if that's true, hopefully the quality improvement process is continuing in 2013. We were a very early owner of an R53, and there were definite first year problems with that model too.

We continue to hope that we made the right decision giving BMW a second chance with a replacement car.
