My 2012 cooper was backed into and now the hatch has a dent. It is too big to go to be repaired and the body shop said the best bet was to replace the hatch. I don't want to go through insurance and am looking for a source for replacement parts. The car is pretty new so I am not sure if there is a good source for second hand parts out there....but figured someone may know.

I am located in NNJ and have not check scrap yards yet...though that is my next step.

 

There is a guy outside of buffalo parting out an 07 MINI, check out Craigslist buffalo. I'm not sure if he has a hatch or not, but its only 300 miles or so. I have shipped big stuff using Grayhound, and it is about 1/2 the cost of UPS.
