Just purchased a 2013 Mini Cooper S that did not come with a wind deflector. Is a wind deflector worth the $$?

 

Absolutely. There's a very annoying back draft that hits you in the back of the neck and blows all your hair forward without it. The deflector cuts that out completely, decreases the volume and makes the ride more comfortable. It is pricey, but I've seen several for sale on the boards for a more reasonable price.

 

I saw one the other day from a Mini dealer in New Jersey that was $337.00
It's listed today for $375 (on Ebay) New and in the box. They had it on sale with 10% additional off. Keep watching. That's better than the $500 the dealer is asking.

Just make sure if you order one from a non MINI place that what you ask for is the R57 model. The R52 deflector won't fit correctly.
