There should be a little side panel in the hatch, one on each side. They are small, it is very tight to get your hand inside to the back of the taillight. Then you twist and pull the bulb out.

My daughter had a 2005 -- so it may be a little different, the first time she had one changed middle of winter, I sent her to the dealer -- $110.00 and took them over 2 hours, they were a new dealer, so I'm thinking they really didn't know how. She later had another one burn out and I changed it. Lay the backseat down, crawl through the drivers door and laydown, open the access panel, can't remember the wrench size, but you can remove the 2 nuts holding the assembly, they were also held on by a clip once you can get it pulled back you can change the bulb, took about 20 minutes. Good Luck

Typically, 1 or 2 screws and then the assembly comes off. Look for any screws directly behind the tail light. I don't know if this helps, but realOEM shows:
