Oil spot and smoking

recently i've notice i have a oil drip overnight about 2" in diameter at most. yesterday i was at a stop light and noticed smoke coming from the hood scoop. when i parked i popped the hood to find and noticeable amount of oil on the turbo and around it.

where would i need to look to see what needs to be replaced or adjusted?

A common problem that on the Gen 2 MINI is with the oil lines that feed the turbo on the S models. What happens is the banjo fitting on the feed line fails allowing oil to leak onto the turbo. So check the oil line that feeds the turbo. Read this thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...s-leaking.html

yep! the banjo fitting has come loose and is now leaking oil on the top of the turbo. the oil burns while driving and smoke comes out as soon as i stop. i would like to make a custom oil feed line from braided line and 2 banjo fittings like the upgraded turbo kits include. any idea?

Hot oil on an even hotter turbo is the recipe for disaster. Best fix it soon.
