O.Z. Alleggerita - 37mm offset with JCW suspension - Will it rub?

I am deciding which wheel to put on my 2012 JCW with JCW suspension. This will be a second set of wheels for autocross. I will be putting on Dunlop ZII tires in either 215/40/17 or 215/45/17. Does anybody know if there will be any rubbing issues with a 37mm offset wheel?

In the notes section TireRack says "MAY REQUIRE MODIFICATION TO THE REAR PLASTIC FENDER LINER. Use 205/45-17 for best fit."

I know, I have a stock S with the sports suspension, which is not quite the same. However, as a point of reference, I run Dunlop Z1s, 215/45x17, on 7" wide, 38 mm offset Enkies and have a gobs of clearance. These were previously run on a lowered (1.5 inch drop at least) '08 MINI with no problems. Yours is only 10 mm lower (about 3/8") than stock, it would be hard to imagine the almost identical setup with the OZ wheels (7" width?) would rub. Hope this helps.

Should fit.

the 215/40-17 would be better for autocross as it has a smaller than stock tire diameter and stiff 40 series sidewall.

A smaller tire diameter effectively lowers your car/ lowers center of gravity and allows for lowering of your gearing for quicker acceleration at lower speeds.

I have bought a pair of O.Z. Leggendas off tirerack with the same note. I've had them for about a year and never had them rub. Tires are 205/45R17. Wheels are 7x17 et42

Because if they don't fit properly that would be a waste of money...

I think Tire Rack does this on a number of wheels that might be close on some setups just to cover their a$$.
