R56 Discount on '13 Cooper Hardtop S ?
FWIW, I was offered only a $2k discount on a brand new 2012 base they had sitting on the lot (stickered around $25k), or the 0.9% financing on any brand new 2013 R56, with no discounts being offered on the table. Really, at this point, unless you NEED a car right now, I would just wait for the 2014 redesign and see if you like the new model, or hopefully that will have a decent impact on pricing to clear out the "old" model off the lot.
I'm a little suspicious of buying the first model year of a new design. We'll be buying either before the new models are in production or after a year or so.
Teddy, we received $1000 of MSRP from the dealer, and $750 from MINI from their "not normal" sales event this summer. We also got .9% financing through MINI. We ordered and purchased a Cooper S hatchback. Hope this helps.
At the very least you should get the $1000 and great financing.

SoCal dealers have a lot of stock on the lot. Go negotiate that bad boy. When we got our 07 we got it right at start if production and stock was very constrained. We paid sticker.
If I were buying now I would expect no more than 500 over invoice plus any incentives.
Shop around. I bet you can get that deal or better. Lots of competition in this market and dealers have cars on the lot.
For an ordered car I would expect to pay a little more.
