I know I'm late, but nice to see Mini win at Dakar...

 

Also this weekend Motorsport Italia placed in the top 10 at the Monte Carlo rally with a rookie driver. If BMW actually cared they probably could have won that as well.

 

Once the European Economy recovers I'm sure they will get back into it....

 

The Mini WRC sounds insane!

 

I think there are more problems with it than the economy. BMW has handled the whole WRC program different than their other ventures. The only thing they did right was get Prodrive to build the car and sign Sordo to drive it. Also with the BMW teams in road racing and now the DTM the cars are sponsored by BMW yet they told Prodrive they had to find outside funding to continue. I just think with Seb Loeb on a limited schedule and VW coming in it would have been the perfect time take the fight to VW and to put Mini back on the top step of the podium. Without Loeb and Sordo, Citroen's lineup is weak and Ford's is spotty, so really it would be a Mini-VW fight, I think.
