Tail light / Light Cover needed?

OK, I did a real silly thing and backed my 2007 Mini Cooper into a buddy's truck, and broke the clear plastic cover over the driver's side tail light assembly.

In searching for parts, I can't seem to find just the clear plastic cover that I broke. I can find a "Tail Light Assembly" ($65-$90), or I can find the chrome trim piece around the light ($35 or so). But from the places I have looked online, neither of them seem to show a good photo showing the clear plastic cover.

I have attached a jpg to this post of my broken piece
Please ignore where my other buddy wrote "Awesome" on it...

All of my lights still work...everything in tact minus the clear plastic cover, and the small dent I put in the rear panel.

Anyway, can anyone tell me what part I need, and if I can by JUST the cover, or do I have to get the whole assembly?

Im gonna say you probably need the whole assembly, if the lens alone was available im sure you would have found it by now.

That is a bummer but crap happens, easy fix.

The chrome trim ring just pops off and you will see a few torx screws. Unscrew those and unplug light. Replace with new assembly and assemble using reverse directions. No lens can be bought on its own.

Yes, the lens is plastic-welded to the housing. It is "impossible" to replace just the cover.

Also teach your buddy how to spell Awesome.

Hahahahaha thanks calforhelp (and others). I was afraid that was the case. Oh well, like M'cooper stated, should be an easy fix.

I appreciate the feedback!
