Amongst the many that copy the legacy BBS RS, I found the RD131 for dirt cheap. Just to change it up. I know its not durable etc, but it looks good. I'm a sucker for step-lip rims.







Does anyone know how much these factory rims weigh?

 

Those MINI wheels are

R90 cross spoke (silver or anthracite finish available)
17x7" about 25 lbs each. They are two piece from BBS with titanium bolts

There is also another R90 cross spoke design in one piece 16x6.5" that is cheaper from MINI. These were popular when the R50 and R53 were current.

 

Those mini rims are the ones I have now. Didn't know they were true two piece. 25lbs for 17x7" wheels? geez, you would think BBS could make a lighter rim.

 

I'm sure BBS made the R90 wheels to MINI spec. The actual weight is listed by MINI2.com site as 24.1 lbs each. offset 48mm. Finishes are listed as Silver, anthracite and gloss black.

They are indeed true two piece rims, those bolts are not fake.

The 16" one piece R90 looks the same with crossed spokes but has no bolts.
Weight is 20.9 lbs each.

Most of the early 17x7 OEM MINI wheels were about 24-25 lbs each, the lightest was about 20 and most of the more recent wheels are about 22-23 lbs.
