Post snow clean up... Rust prevention..

Hey guys,

I lived all my life in the South. Never had to deal with snow and associated salt exposure and the potential damages.

I see that I will be cleaning up the undercarriage when the weather permits with water vigorously.

I am just curious to see if there anything special that the rest of group is doing?

TIA

I live in northern maine and frequently take it to the local diy car wash and just spray all of the grit and salt off.

In the spring put a lawn sprinkler under the car and flush all areas. Move it from place to place and the flow will remove salt, grit, and dirt. I do it every March...

I really like the idea with the sprinkler, I'll try that out here as well, except I'll have to wait until april possibly before all of the snow/slush is gone. Ugh winter can last too long some years....

I can't believe I've never thought of the sprinkler trick, I will definitely be doing that when it warms up. Thanks BRG

I'm not gonna be much help... I'm more interested in where you got your kit and some close up shots on the install... I want to do this to my mini before winter
