Mannual transmission oil change different with/without LSD?

I just don't know if my R53 has LSD (2005 model and has 40k miles only), and about to do some oil change and want to change the transmission oil too.

is there any difference for one with LSD or without it? ie, the total capacity of tranny oil, or any procedure difference?

thanks

For R53 manual transmissions:
Redline MTL or Texaco MTF-94 for Getrag 6 speed with LSD (or without LSD before 7/2004),
Redline D6 or BMW-MTF-LT-3 for Getrag 6 speed without LSD after 7/2004

wait a minutes, the Redline D6 is for automatic transmission, it's ATF

I just goggled and find out what you said seems right, I'll be contacting dealer to confirm, thanks a lot! all the DIY shows using redline MTL, which is really confusing and misleading.

thanks for the good inputs.

I had someone help to run a VIN# for me and see if can get some clue
otherwise the official way is to ask Mini USA

my car shows it manufactured in 2004 12, so it's highly possible it does not have LSD, but I will confirm tomorrow thru Mini USA
thanks!

my car manufactured at 2004 12, so it's likely without LSD, I run the VIN# in realOEM.com

am i able to count on this?

BTW, I bought both redline MTL and Royal Purple Synchromax for safe

after confirm with dealer, I will send one back.

confirmed with dealer, the listed options has no LSD listed.

and I would use synchromax, MTL is too thick for it and not good for cold start, I only have problem when car is cold now, very hard for 1st gear and reverse gear. and some notching from 1st to 2nd gear.
