edit: this may be a false alarm as I missed a post where Ryephile indicates the yo-yo fix will be in .38 not .37. I plan to contact Rasmussen on wed about this and post the info here.

According to recent posts in the Yo-Yo Cronicles Thread, Rasmussen has available the v.37 code for our MINIs. This may help with the yo-yo problem. If you're not sure what that is, just read the first paragraph of the first post of that thread.

I've got a slight yo-yo and hope to get the software upgrade done asap.

Ok, I just talked to Anne in service and apperantly they just got the software in yesterday. She wants to load it on their demo car before doing any cust cars to make sure there aren't any glitches. She said they hoped to get that done today or tomorrow.

I've got an appointment to have the new software installed on Thursday, and will report back with the results.

According to Ryphile, V37 had been scrapped off in favor of V38 due out in a couple of weeks.

Are you 100% sure that V37 has fixes for the MINI?

Remember that not all BMW issued software updates necessarily have updates affecting the MINI range.

All I know about it I read in the Yo-Yo thread, and I missed the post about .37 being scrapped in favor of .38. So, no, unfortunately I'm not sure at all.

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to ask what changes (if any) are included in the .37 code. Depending on what she says I may or may not bother having it loaded.

Expect more info wednesday afternoon.

How long does it take to install the new software? I mean is a quick in and out or a drawn out process?

Minidrew - they said about an hour to get it done. I would recommend you write down how all the custom programming options are set and leave that in the car. It will speed up the process and help ensure the dealer doesn't screw them up when they reprogram them after the upgrade.

According to Anne v.37 is supposed to fix "surging at about 3k rpm". I go in tomorrow to get the code and find out if it works. Cross your fingers.

I'll post an update on the Yo-Yo thread after I've put a few miles on the new software.

Got v.37 done today along with installing an Alta pulley. WOW! No surge at 3k and nice strong power all the way up.

According to MINIUSA: There is no difference in CD36 and CD37 for the MINI. CD37 has updated code for other BMW-branded product, but not the MINI.
