Official Blazing Red Owners Club

Here it is in the wild. I couldn't get it out of the showroom before it got dark, so I'll need to get a better photo later.

Edit: not Australian, just having trouble uploading the correct orientation from my phone.

I was going to ask what kind of glue you thought they used to stick it to the ceiling like that...

I just assumed it was part of the "not normal" campaign...

Sweet car!

If it sticks like that to the ceiling, imagine how well it'll stick to the road!!!

Awesome response as always from Sealy. I was wondering how long it would take, the official Pure Red ambassador.

I might not ne the pure red ambassador but I am an owner. Even so, I prefer blazing to pure.

Might get purged out from pure red club, but blazing red it's a nice red... Then again there is some Asian blood blood that flows through my veins ....

For what it's worth, as the one and only member of the Blazing Red club so far, I originally put down a deposit on a 2013 Pure Red before the dealership was notified of the color changes. Either would've sufficed.

That said, I like the Blazing Red a little more.

I put 600 miles around Arizona this weekend and I have a few more pictures with different sun angles to show the Blazing Red.

How metallic does the paint look? (It doesn't look especially metallic in your photos).

Honestly, on a scale of 1-10, I'd rate the metallic-ness maybe a 3. It's there, but you wouldn't otherwise notice it unless you took a close look.

As a former Chili Red R56 owner, I think the new Countryman Blazing Red color is a knockout! Saw one in person a couple of weeks ago at the dealership set up just like "nikkoto".
I agree on his assessment of how metallic the paint is (or, actually, isn't). It's a nice switch from Pure Red, which always looks Orange to me (sorry).

Just picked up my Blazing Red Cooper Countryman yesterday, and had a blast driving it back from Tempe to Tucson. I, too, had a previous 2005 R50 in Chili Red, and the Blazing Red seems to match that a lot better than the Pure Red did.

No need to be sorry. Mine frequently looks orange, as well as several other shades.

I don't think the idea was to get them to match. I've known a few people who think everything has to match and it gets real old real fast. PR was a unique choice for people who like things different.

Sealy - Who's getting a little perturbed by people who insist on comparing apples to oranges.

I really wasn't trying to say that MINI was trying or should be trying to match both colors exactly. I was just saying that as a previous Chili Red owner that with the Blazing Red being closer to the Chili Red, it was more in line with my personal tastes than Pure Red.

I'll take some more soon. The car has been through some light mud/snow over the holidays and I haven't got around to washing it yet.
