I'm not familiar with wax removers - I just use Dawn when I'm ready to strip off any residual wax and want to prep things for a new coat. Whichever way you go, you will want to get whatever wax is on the car off before you start claying.

As said Dawn is fine for washing if you plan a full detail.

I have not used Glide, I'm sure it is good, but you can use just about any soapy water for clay. I get a cheep quick detailer and just make sure I use enough so the clay does not drag. You can even just use most car wash soaps with water to lube the clay (same ratio of soap and water as you use to wash the car).

Just to check order you want to do:
Wash
Clay - Check with a plastic bag on your hand to check for smooth paint. This is more accurate than just your hand.
Swirl (if needed)
Amigo (above you have Amigo last)
Epic

I use dawn too. I don't go crazy with it. What I usually do is a quick wash with my regular car wash depending how dirty the car is. Then the wash with dawn. I usually use a cap full in a bucket of water. Dry real well and they clay. After that I wash with a mix of isopropyl alcohol in the water to remove any residue from claying. I then being my detail process. Swirl, amigo (on the dark roof), epic. After the next wash I usually put 2 coats of banana gloss on it (my preference) and then hydro on every wash after that.
