Anybody know of any back woods camping around Avon? I know I could stay on the Holy Cross Trail outside of Minturn, but would like to get a little closer.

Yeah I'm not paying for a hotel... Again.

 

You may want to consider the hotel this go around as we'll ask be in one add opposed to being all spread out. That failing, there is some camping around eagle just down the road, if you want scenic, look up Deep Lake

Got back to CO yesterday... Still have 3 days at Ft. Carson, then I will head up Tuesday to find a campsite.

 

Yep, got the wife’s new stripes and mud flaps on, for their début at MITM. :-)

 

Gore Pass in East Vail, the closest camping area. Per the Town of Avon. :(

Will love to see some new stripes.

 

Holy Cross trail out of Minturn is where I will probably end up camping at. There are closer trails but dont know about any of them.
