Why do they sell left hand drive cars in England?

 

Reminds me of a car that just came up in the "Ugliest Car" thread, the Renault R5T2.





It too had the engine in the back seat, unlike the front engine/front drive LeCar from which it was derived. Here's a cool article.

They probably won't rent you THAT one but a Clio is pretty much a rocket ship in its standard configuration as well...(just don't get the 1 liter job, you'll feel like you're driving a sewing machine)....Europeans do have nifty cars.........and they CAN sell LHD in England (it isn't illegal) but they sell precious few of them......besides, as they will rightly point out:
a) they are on the RIGHT side of the road
b) over half the world's population lives in RHD countries...... :smile: :smile:

 

Thats about $48,000 given our exchange rate... But it IS tres cool

 

I've seen several V6 Clios in my area here in North East of Spain (Catalonia) the look is AMAZING but find it too powerful for such a small car.
It's MR engine and I presume it had 285 not sure about that.
A friend of a friend had one and got like 270km/h on the motorway. (illegal!!!)
