03 mini cooper s

What is considered fair or market price for a partial picked over S with bad motor, broke rod, supposed good getrag...? Interior is good. Really all I need is the manual trans to convert my cvt. The S cant b rebuilt, roof is gone and other front panels. subframe is good as is supercharger. & wires and computer are there.
Can I put supercharger on my normally aspirated engine?
I guess it boils down to how much of the s I should haul to the scrap yard if it ain't worth foolin with.

IMO if you want to convert to an S, better to start out with one.

Cooling system is entirely different not to mention the engine management systems between a Cooper and S are not the same....

You can convert to an S, but it's not worth the time, money, or effort. It's more than swapping body panels and adding a supercharger. A lot of things are arranged differently, so you'll have an issue with adding components. Google around for a bit to see some methods. It's a very involved process.

To clarify, my main objective is to replace the dead cvt auto trans The getrag requires the shifter and linkage, the pedle aassembly, brackets, flywheel & clutch assembly. .My 2003 na motor is fine (if gutless) but the s is a donor car at $2500 that cannot be rebuilt. so I will have many S parts left over.

I'd say off them $2K, but even at $2500 it's still a bargain because you would probably spend about $2K just piecing everything together separately and you can easily make that $500 and more back by selling the S engine and supercharger along with anything else included with the car.

thanks sniper, I think I will get a second damaged hood, a second set of wheels and a rebuildable supercharger. Surprised the s charger needs rebuild, what is the life expectancy of such?
