2nd-Gen Leather Interior Maintenance
2nd-Gen Leather Interior Maintenance
I'm in dry Colorado and I know I need to nourish the leather in my Clubman, however I DON'T want slippery seats.
What's the general consensus on brands of leather treatments that won't turn the surface to a sheet of glass nor stain my clothes?

I've been happy with Lexol cleaner, and Prima Nourish conditioner on my MCS Polar Beige seats.
They did a nice job on my leather bomber jacket, too! It even smells of leather again, versus two years of pipe-smoking aroma!

I have the lounge leather seats (which I love) and I use the Leatherique Cleaner and Leatherique Rejuvenator. This system may be overkill on new seats but I loved the results. I especially liked that there was no residue or smell after using the Leatherique system.
I have Tuscan Beige (tan) leather in my 2007 which is my daily driver bought new in 2007 in Florida. I was concerned about the light color and frankly the leather in my 2002 (Lapis Blue) didn't hold up that well, but I was a sucker for a BRG/white with tan leather when I saw one so . . .
I use Meguiare's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner about twice a year. This leather looks great today and is holding up much better then that on my 02. No ill effects from the FL sun and heat. No slip or slide. I use it on all my leater wrap steering wheels and my leather furniture in the house. If I feel it is getting dirty I wash with a mild soap and warm water and a soft cloth, once dry I use the M product as needed (I have a part time job at a zoo so sometimes end up sitting in the car with dusty pants - I'm a choo choo train engineer - I'm VERY CAREFUL about oil and grease from the choo choo . . . )

on my Mini Train !!
I also have a rather expensive product I was sold with my tan leather LazyBoy couch and loveseat . . . it does not do a better job . . .
I've heard very good things about Lexol
and if you play in the classic car world you find they really like Connolly for the leather in classic cars (Jag, Rolls, Bentley etc)

I've used Pinnacle Leather cleaner/conditioner,Griots interior cleaner and leather care, Zymol leather cleaner and conditioner and the Lexol products listed above. Lexol is still by far my favorite. They have left the seats clean and supple, not at all greasy. The leather has zero sheen after using it, which is what I like best about it.
I've heard good things about Prima Nourish, Griots Leather Care Spray (which is not the same product as the thicker cream) and 1z Einzett Letherfledge, but I have not used these and really can't speak to how well they work.

^This and this. Nothing better.
Yep, Leather Punch Carbon Black... with all the little dimple holes.
Seems like Lexol and Leatherique are the top choices, ya?

Ah I'd definitely stay away from saddle soap. Here's a link to a short reasoning why, now this was put together for motorcycles but the same logic applies, it's a very alkaline product and can really dry out leather. It'll take a little while of use, but you will see that over time it can really pull up some dye.
