Powdercoating suggestions!

I've had my 2004 Indi Blue MC for 7 months now. She's a beauty. Im taking my 17" S Lites to get powdercoated tommorow, should i do them white or black? I have the white roof and mirrors, but my grille, headlight surrounds, rear bumper trim, and trunk handle are plastidip'd black. I just want to get rid of my 16" star spokes haha! Help me out please

PS- anyone have any idea why my xenon lights look yellow in the pics? haha

I like the blue idea. As far as black or white, I was dreaming about a CM for my wife and configured one with white wheels. After seeing how much brake dust is accumulated on my black wheels, I ditched the white wheel idea forever.

I don't like black wheels. I love white wheels. It would be worth the work to keep brake dust off of them to me just for the much better look of the white wheels.

Personally, I like the black rather than white, but in your case, the white would look much better. Since the roof and mirror covers are white, that would only leave white wheels for a choice.

I'd be all over the black wheels. They will tie in nicely with the black trim you have going on and will be 5 million times easier to keep clean, or looking clean.

White! Black wheels are played out, especially flat. White wheels POP. You can get lower dust brake pads, to help keep them clean.

I just dropped them off at the beach cities powder coating, I heard they do good work. I chose satin black, but now I'm not sure if I want to call back and change it to white! Would you get gloss or satin white?

Ferrari yellow, bold, bright, and a nice color transition, then paint the calipers white or red.

before you spend the money, plastidip them white then black and see what YOU like. It won't be perfect but it will give you an idea if you like it or not. It's something you probably only want to do once.

If it were me I'd go with white gloss. I plasti-dipped my wheels white (web spokes) and I'm giddy stupid head-over-heels in love with the look.

I have ceramic pads on the front which put off next to nothing as far as brake dust goes. I have OEM pads on the back (not for much longer) which does make the wheels dirtier, faster. But the POP of white wheels is second-to-none. (In your case it'd be second to a matching blue powdercoat).

We want pics of the finished product!

Done!

I just got my wheels back, the satin black finish looks sweeet!

I will be posting pictures today! I also ordered Goodyear Eagle GT tires for it, does anyone know anything about these tires? I got them from sears because they had a coupon code for buy one get one free. Then there was another code for $40 off of $400 purchase, and then another one for $40 off any set of two tires. So instead of paying like $610 i only paid $380! Check sears out if you need tires.

cheers!

Those are SWEET!!!

As for the E.GT's I ran them on an old car I had. They were sticky but didn't last long when I did get them to spin. Glorious clouds of smoke
