I am contemplating silver bonnet stripes with tomato red pin striping edges and matching red side pin stripes on my BRG/W MC. The alternative is to to do the silver bonnet stripes with gold edges and gold side pin stripes (the interior is Cordoba beige leather). Any color experts out there? I wish they made a computer program where you could simulate this kind of thing before actually putting it on the car.

Gold would look better, IMHO... Red would be too X-mas-y.

The silver bonnet stripes will hook into the wheel color...or perhaps the chrome...or even the white roof/mirrors. That's no problem.

Seems the main question is to introduce red pinstriping or gold pinstriping. With Cordoba Beige, gold is a safe choice. I've actually seen gold pinstriping (w/ a small MINI logo in the pinstriping) a while back at a local dealer. It was done at a local shop and it looked really, really good!!!

As far as red goes....hmm...that's more of a stretch but I think it would look good, too. After all, the tail lights are red. Regardless, I salute your creativity on this as it would be a bold move and very unique.

you can copy my brg with checkerboard top and white bonnet stripes. i also put the white wheels on she looks great. i wish the tuner graphics guy on the tuner show really had emagination. he could have put a spider web on our mirrors and we would then have one trick mini. with all the graphics on the side of the car and then do nothing with those big mirrors what was he thinking. course he doesn't like our mini's. but if you ask me what does he know. one happy mini owner pulley short shifter and intake and some other mods and i don't have a tuner show

I think Sarcux is right. Don't add red to a green car.

I'm with early_apex and Sarcux -- however, I think your ideas are very cool. If half the fun of MINI ownership is customizing (as I've been told ) you're definitely on the right track.

Seriously, silver and gold on a BRG would probably look pretty sweet.
