30,000miles and running strong. Really reliable. Anyone else?

A year old and 30,000miles and running strong. Really reliable. Anyone else?

As I have seen many negative things and unreliable issues happening to the countrymen lately, I'm just here to tell you 30,000miles and no issues at all. Just the brake pads gone at 15,000miles which is normal I believe?

Anyone else with me?

by the way what will be done in my next service checkup? any major services yet?

Nope! perfectly fine... What's the early symptoms of that thermostat fault? So I can keep an eye on it.

However, the brake pads warning never went off, even a day after I replaced them, the guys at MINI told me that it will eventually go off as I drive...never did, still stuck there replace in 1800miles, not moving at all tho... haha

1 year, 24,000 miles, absolutely nothing other than an oil change. It has been a great ride so far . . .

8 months old. 11k miles.
3) Reduced power CEL
1) Reprogram of the ECU (to supposedly fix above)
1) Replacement of thermostat sensor
1) Oil leak with OSU solenoid replaced
1) Front fog lamp wouldn't stay on.
1) Completely POS clutch that will most likely not make it another 11k miles

2700 miles, still new. My only complaint is the sometimes the A/C smells very sour, sometimes like an old wet clothes.

Ask your SA for a cabin filter replacement...Could be moisture in the ducts causing mildew or worst, mold.

To the topic- 2011 CMS manual w 38000 miles w no issues......Renewed the maintenance warranty just in case but, love my car.... Hope I didn't jinx it....knock on wood, knock, knock...

Mine's been pretty reliable too at 16,800 miles. I had the thermostat replaced and that's about it. The clutch feels like crap compared to my mcoupe, but it is also much softer on the pedal effort which makes it easier to drive in traffic.

Only time Ive had issues with the clutch is going up hill in traffic, where it starts to smell. My wife and I call it the asparagus smell. It smells like burning asparagus

Other than that it's been good. Not too happy with the suspension though, but that's my own doing with the NM springs. Harsh ride!

27000 miles in 19 months. Only problems have been the molding coming off the back and accident where someone hit me in a parking lot in September doing $1200 damage to back hatch and bumper.

Mine is about 16 months old and has 42,000 miles. Absolutely no issues. It's had less issues than the three Hondas I have owned prior to my MINI.

51,000 miles. At 49,500 had the dealership do one last full inspection; they didn't find anything. It's got more rattles than my last MINI, but aside from that no complaints.

I'm so glad to hear all the positive feedback! I just brought home my first MINI. I have a 2011 CM S it has 16000mi and is light white with black stripes. I've noticed that a lot of you name your MINI's, I can't seem to come up with a suitable one. I do feel lucky in that the factory warranty w/maintenance is good until Jun 2017. So if some of the issues I've read about on this forum happen to occur hopefully I'm covered.

My Countryman was born two years ago (and the two-year brake fluid change reminder just popped up to remind me of that!). I have had 37,000 problem-free miles. Still love this car.

Very refreshing comments indeed as there's so many adverse comments elsewhere regarding MINI reliability. We have a very good local dealer so perhaps the Countryman remains on our possible future list.

17K miles, running OK. Had several reduced power CEL this summer, but every time it went back to normal after about 10 minutes shutting the car off.

Had the dealer did the thermostat recall and everything else is perfect.

PS, one TPM false alarm.

2900 miles, no issues.

I *think* my driver side (US) xenon headlamp has a lens issue, but it's probably in my head. The cutoff it a little less sharp than the passenger side. The A/C is a little weak in the hot hot summer, but it's about on par with my VW.

Also, did plenty of driving in the mountains of NC recently and put a few hundred highway miles on it. No issues.

18 months - 12,000 miles - been back to the dealer for power window issues - door rattles (which they never fixed) and a very harsh ride (vehicle bottoms out) which they could not fix. I fixed the infamous sunroof woodpecker myself, and may tackle the door rattles because the nearest dealer is so far away.

I like the style and feel of the car (my 4th MINI), but the build quality is far below my Dodge Ram and Subaru.

7k and it needed tow back to the dealership. Apparently there was a malfunction with one of the fuel sensors. The car thought that it didn't have any gas, they replaced it, and gave me a loaner. The worse part was waiting 3 hours for a tow, but mini sent me a 25 dollar gas car.

7k as of yesterday and no issues so far.
I do notice my auto climate is sometimes inconsistent though.

Xenor- I have also noticed the d/s xenon beam a tad lower. This is normal in e-codes( european beams). Shaper cut off and lower on drivers as to not blind on coming traffic.

My xenons are great but I'd like them a bit higher.
Adjusting manually may make no sense as they are self leveling. :(

I have around 32k miles - so far it's holding up well. Only two real issues so far:

1) Had the automatic shifter slowly die, they had to replace it (just the lever in car, not the transmission). Luckily in a pinch you can override the lever.

2) False warnings about low oil pressure a few times a month. Still not resolved (the dealer could not reproduce and it produced no codes in computer) but it has not happened for a long time.

I'm still really happy with the car.

I just noticed this for the first time this week myself. I haven't run a/c in a few months and today during a warm spell needed to in order to defog windshield. Weird funky smell. I've been trying to figure out what would cause it.

Oh no! When you say molding - do you mean the black part of the bumper? Did you have it repaired after the hit?
