I'm really starting to think about getting a boost guage and oil temp meter. However I don't like the BMP guages as they don't look close enough to stock. The Greddy Guages look VERY nice and have red back lighting but I can't seem to find one that messures in PSI, they all seem to be metric (kg/cm2). I've done various searches, are there any other alternatives for a MINI looking guage that has amber back light?

I have been searching extensively and have not come up with anything that matches well to the factory gauges in both day & night (Silver face, silver bezel, black markings, amber baclighting, lit pointer)

These are the closest to the factory I could find and all of them have tradeoffs:

Autometer Ultralight, reads in PSI, matches well in day (silver face & bezel) but does not at night (amber but wrong type of lighting, unlit pointer).

Defi D-Dauge, reads in PSI, matches well at night (all amber backlighting, lit pointer) but not in the day (white face -no silver face available). silver bezel if you remove black indicator ring

Stewart Warner, reads in PSI, matches well in day, so so at night- its backlit (although they dont sell it, you can change the bulb to amber) but the pointer is not lit.

Nordskog, reads in PSI- but max 15, looks very similar to Autometer Ultralight (silver face, silver bezel), not so good at night- similar lighting to Autometer.

Matrix, reads in PSI, so so in day, silver face & bezel but blue numbers. Night has same problem as Autometer.

Greddy Silver Series, matches well in day & night but reads in metric and has "turbo" printed on face.

I've seen some older used Blitz & SARD gauges that match very well but they all read in metric.

Most people who use Auto Meter gauges are happy with them. The silver matches nicely during the day as well as the orange illumination at night. As BC pointed out, the only thing that's different is the unlit pointer, which usually isn't noticeable.

If the pointer is unlit at night, can you still read the gauge?

I have the BMP system as well as the same gauges below the toggel switches ( volt meter and water temp ) I show the car extensively and continually have to tell people they arent stock. The autometer ultralite series is very colose to stock.
