problems with AC and fan

Hi

My AC appears to be working in my 2009 Mini Cooper but there is no cold air and even if you switch the AC off, the fan doesn't operate. Any ideas as to what may be the problem?

You will likely get a better response if you post this in r56 stock problems

A/C and Fan not working

If the fan you are refering to is the fan inside the car controlled by the fan switch, it must be on for the air conditioner to work. If the fan won't come on when you turn the switch, you may have a blown fuse. If the fan comes on and increases in air flow as you increase the switch setting, it is working correctly. If the air does not feel cool with the fan on, the A/C refrigerant may be low. The A/C has a clutch that is electrically controlled and if it is not engaging, that may also be a blow fuse.
