Light Bar & Plasti Dip Pics

Hey, so i just installed a Alta light bar and thought I would post some pics here to show what they look like. They look great, but functionality wise out of the box they are not so great. They need to be modified so they are not pointing at the ground. I'm probably just going to find some spacers to move them out. I also plastidipped my badging and wheels, the headlight rings are next to be dipped, but I haven't quit figured out how they go on haha.
Happy Motoring
Chase

I've looked at those lights before, they look great! But they're a PITA to install? And how about cooling, they seem to take away quite a bit of lower radiator real estate at the bottom. Does anyone have experience with that?

They weren't to bad I spent two 6 hour days doing it in the parking lot of my college by myself. They don't seem to be blocking to much airflow, I have read that people have not had any problems, as that was my concern to especially with 4 lights. The hardest part was definitely routing cables and mounting relays so that it looks good, I tried and tried, but still have some bright red and blue cables running through the engine bay for light power, battery power, ground and switch. Otherwise removing the bumper and bumper skin, along with mounting went fairly smooth. Finding the bolts that hold it on was kind of a pain since the Alta directions just said remove the bumper bolts. If you do decide to do it feel free to ask any questions and i'll try to help you out, but it is pretty straight forward if your good with electrical and familiar with body components.

I bought an ALTA light bar and light setup similar to yours (I think)... I thought it would mount up higher, but I guess we'll find out when I start to install it. Taking off the bumper and bumper skin is the most daunting thing for me I think.... no idea how many screws/bolts/etc hold this whole thing on.

My last experience with any kind of aftermarket lights were when you bolted them right onto a chrome bumper on the front of a Ford or Chevy. This wont be anything like that.

I just taped off the areas around the headlight surrounds when I did mine. It was a pain, but I'm glad I did it because I realized I didn't like it lol. The black plastidip on my blue car? No. I painted them body color Have fun!
