No power to cigaretter lighter, fuse is ok

My cigarette lighter and boost gauge have stopped working. I have checked fuse f32 (2004 R53) and it is not blown and there is 12v going to where the fuse is inserted. I have also tried using another fuse. the wire that goes into cigarette lighter is completely plugged in, but has no power going to it. I am not sure where to go from here, is there a fuse in the engine bay or footwell that also feeds to those wires, that I should check?
Thanks and Happy Motoring

My cigarette lighter and boost gauge have stopped working.

well first question I'd ask is 'boost gauge'?

that's not original is it, so how was it installed>>>>>

I'm gonna guess there is a hack aka splice into the cig lighter wire to power the boost . . .

this is where I'd start

(poorly done twist splice with masking tape works loose over time. Everything "down line" stops working . . . . just a guess but been here many many times!)

I have a T-tap off of the switched 12v that goes into the cigarette lighter but there is no power running to it, it doesn't appear to be loose

Traced the line way back and it had indeed come undone!
Thank You!

thanks for closing the loop

may help someone down the road

always try the easy stuff first!

p.s. I don't trust taps any more, I solder and apply liquid tape or heat shrink
