Question seat covers

we have the polar beige gravity leather sport seats in our 2011 countryman s. They are getting stained and I wonder if anyone has run across a good set of front seat covers?

Wet Okole. They rock. Search the forum with the key words 'Wet Okole" and you will find a thread or two on them. Neoprene, waterproof, fit like a glove, can be ordered with seat warmers or lumbar support, or just plain. I love mine, ordered also for my son's Jeep, they are the best seat covers we have ever owned. Pricey but worth it!! They look gray in the photo but they aren't, they are black. www.wetokole.com

I love my Wet Okoles in my CUBE, but after talking to MINI about them they were not recommended because of the airbag situation. I know Wet Okoles take that into account when you order them, but even a custom seat cover company in town discouraged me from getting full seat covers.

I opted for covers that are a towel fabric that fit over the head rest and fit loosely over the seats. I got them in British Flag for the convertible as it has that theme on the mirrors, and scuttles. I liked them so much for that MINI that I also got them for my Pure Red CM ALL 4. I've had lots of compliments on them and the price wasn't that bad. I think they are around $39 each. I'll have to see if I can find the manufacturer. They protect the leather in the CM, keeping dog hair or wear and tear on the seats. In the case of the cabrio, they keep the black leather from getting too hot in the summer.

In the mean time - baby wipes work a treat to clean the beige leather.

Wet Okoles have an opening for the Side impact air bags, which you can see in the photo, so while generic seat covers might impede the airbag, the Wet Okoles won't. They are tested to be compliant. But they are pricey. :-)

Here are a couple pics of my homemade seat covers. Uses the towel idea, but I folded them in half length wise. They work really well, seat warmer still feels great, and I just happened to find a great match to the interior surf blue.

Seeing that you have black seats (leatherette?), why do you need/want seat covers?

Hey Royson, even though its leatherette, the seats still get really hot in this Texas heat. Too sweaty for me. :p

Ok, I see. I really wish they had made the leatherette perforated like in our VW. So do you take the covers off in the winter?

I do plan on taking them off IF or when it gets cooler. She hasn't experienced colder weather yet.
And yes, I was hoping for perforated leatherette also. But I'm not complaining. Love my Countryman!

Wet Okole would be a great choice for a car. The ones I had in my Jeep faded and dry rotted inside of 3 years, since I went almost all summer with the top down.
