Anyone with the 15" 7 holes - ? for you.
This is going to sound silly -- but it's not, trust me.
I'm changing over to the 15" 7-holes tomorrow, I got them from Ebay. They didn't come with lug nuts.
The lug nuts on the 16" runflats I currently have on the car have no "top" or "cap" -- they are open ended, so you can see the stud. I was wondering if any of you who have the 15" 7-holes straight from the factory, are you lug nuts "topped off" meaning, do they have a rounded cap on the top, or do they show through to the studs?
I know it's purely an esthetic issue, but a lot about the MINI is esthetics... Just wondering if I should go out and buy 16 new lug nuts for tomorrows change-over...and where the heck would I buy them (not the dealer)...Pep Boys? Are they 17mm?
You people rock.
Rock On,

Regardless, we started with the 17" bricks, which came with "topped-off" lugs. Switching to the 15" Holeys, we used the same, nice & normal lugs.
PS. You'll love the Holey-ride, Joe! The hubbie even thinks they're the best lookin' MINI wheels. Not sure about that, but fuel efficiency is there, along with the newly-released power! Hubbie says SugarBelly's DSC cuts in sooner because of the torque (sp?), but that's for him to talk about.

Thanks for the enthusiastic response, SugarBelly! Can't wait for better fuel economy and (maybe) better handling.... right now I'm averaging about 30.5 miles per gallon (cruisin' @ 70)...I'll report what I get with the 15" since I'm doing an 80-mile trip this weekend, all highway, all around 70 MPH.
Torque....it's a guy thing I guess! whenever I talk about cars my girlfriend chimes in "Say it, say it...torque!" because she's right...can't have a conversation about cars without the word torque.
