Headlight Sensor

Hello,

I'm sure a lot of questions have come up about this but I had a headlight go out and after replacing it I still get the Yellow Headlight Warning on my screen everytime I start my car. How do I reset this? I replaced the bulb and the lights work fine. I went to Ehow and they showed how to reset service light and oil change but that screen did not reset my headlight sensor. Thank you for your time,

Nick (2007 Mini)

Well, it depends... What kind of bulb was it? (halogen or Xenon), what brand, (cheap Chinese crap or a quality Sylvania or OE?)

Usually the check control system looks at the resistance of the circuit. If it's too high, it assumes you have a bulb out. If you didn't get the correct bulb, or there is something wrong with the bulb you did get. it will still show the bulb out warning. I'd try a different bulb.
