Ive been told to compress the tensioner and that oil pressure will just push it out im not sure if this information is correct or not. I did compress it and installed it but obviously there is know way to know if it pushed itself our or not. Has anyone ever done it this way?

 

If it didn't you would know, would sound like a bag of gravel under the head cover from the chain rattling.
