NORTH meets SOUTH MINI Run - 3 Nov 12
Here’s our chance to link up NORTH and SOUTH MINI folks.

We will head up to Bailey, CO to the Coney Island Hot Dog stand for lunch.

We will launch from points NORTH (Denver) and SOUTH (Colo Spgs) and meet in Bailey at the Hot Dog Stand that looks like a Hot Dog.

I will provide launch times shortly but we plan to meet at Bailey at 1130.

This one will be a fun drive and food is pretty good. You can make it plain or gawd awful fancy.

For the North crew, what is at Morrison Rd and Rooney? Is there a Park 'n Ride lot there or something? Thanks!

 

The North crowd typically meets @ the Conoco station (C-470, Morrison Rd, Rooney Rd) directly off the exit.

 

Saturday is looking better on the weather forecast, low 60s and sunny/clear. Even a little cool is good up in Bailey.

I Like dry roads, but wet are ok this time of year!

All, update for the NORTH meets SOUTH run. The Coney Island Hot Dog stand a has great milk shakes. they said it takes a while make. We can pre-order if you want one. Just post to let me know if you want one, how many and what flavor. I will call them Friday to pre-order. Please let me know before then. Flavors: Banana, Blackrasberry, strawberry, mocha, chocolate, vinilla, marshmellow, coffee, pineapple, pinacolata, caramel, butterscotch, cherry, creamsicle.

 

I'm in for a mocha shake

 

Pina colada for me and strawberry for James, please!

I'm looking forward to another MINI drive! It seems like it's been months since I've been winding my way through the mountains with the MINIs.

Where is the closest TOUCHLESS or DYI car wash near the North meetup point? I live in the country, and Lil' Red gets dirty... fast.

 

Ummmm, run dirty then wash after.

If you come down and pass through Louisville, which is 50 min. from the meet up point, you could do the Atomic Car was off of Cherry Street.

The drive-thru is my life saver car wash, brushless, high power, cleans well and not so good on the dry, so plenty of left over to spray on Hydro.

Thanks for the info. I will be coming from the East. I think I have a few mapped out. I'm going to have to try out that Hydro stuff some day.

Believe it or not, I'm gong to go on a Mini Drive!

 

That was fun, pictures up later. Total of 26 MINIs up to the Coney Island Hot Dog diner in Bailey, I suspect we made a nice late season day for them.

Nice 57 Chevrolet Convertible stuffed back in storage being neglected and looking to become a barn find for someone who loves the early Chevys.

We had a good group up from Denver area and a good group up from Colorado Springs, the Denver group broke off into 1sies and 2sies and few drove back as a small group via Tiny Town, Deer Creek Blvd back into the Chatsfield Area, that was fun.

Nice MINIs and nice Folks, good to see some the new folks out and some potential new MINI5280 members.

Made it home 6pm, after one "bead shop stop", one "wine tasting stop" and one "get something to drink to wake up" stop. A nice 350 mile day. :-)

It sure was fun meeting everyone.

 

Good your home, I do hope you join us for some of our other fun we have planned between now and January 1.

Good to see the Convertible, it as very clean, don't know how you did it.

Guess the back roads are cleaner.
