Country rear bumber scuff guard

We bought a new CM two weeks ago and I would like to add a rear bumper scuff/ scratch protector. The only thing I've found is a unit by NGP for $100. It is made of ABS plastic which looks like it will scratch also. I'd prefer a (black) rubber type unit similar to the units on many SUV type rigs.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

i have a precut ventureshield clear on and you can barely notice it. it covers the top of the bumper deck and wraps around to the bumper face by about an inch.

use the vehicle selector at a place like clearmask.com. that's not where i got mine but you can track others down.

i ended up doing the bumper deck, headlights, hood bra, and front bumper. i've got a couple bubbles in the bumper kit because that was just WAY more of a pita than i expected it to be, but generally the whole install came out pretty good. the difference between using a precut or having a professional install done is precuts stop about 1/8" from the edge of the surface where as a good installer wraps under all edges. eventually i may peel it and have it professionally done, but for now my paint is protected and i'm happy.

When I had my windows and clear bra done, I had them throw a piece on the rear bumper as well! Can't even tell it's there!

As the original proponent of the bumper protector from NGP (see here), I think you'd be pretty happy with the product. It's a high-quality unit from a UK manufacturer. It matches the CM wheel well trim so it looks OEM and it's held up quite well. Lots of other CM people have bought it - no complaints from anyone, so far.

Thanks Sealy...........looks nice...........the current price of $99. + $20 in shipping is steep in comparison to similar products offered for similar vehicles. It does fit nice and I'll probably end up going this route.

I plan to add one once I have a scratch or two back there... then it'll look "new" again with the black protector covering up the scratch(s) :-)

FWIW NGP Racing has these in stock and ready to ship. Or so Nathan told me via email on Friday.

So $50 + shipping?

Not TOO bad on pricing I suppose... How is it for resisting scratches and scuffs? Though by design, it won't provide any traction or slip resistance, guess I haven't really seen any other designs that actually do?

i'm happy with mine. you can see the edges in the lighting, other than that it's invisible. i did the bumper guard as my test area before i put the rest of the film on.

how strong is the stuff... ? after i did the front bumper i went to put my plate bracket back on (yes, my dealer drilled my front bumper) i could not get the screws to grab to start setting no matter how hard i pushed because the film was over the holes, i thought i'd be able to get them to rebite and screw through the film but i had to actually cut the film at the holes before i was able to rescrew the plate bracket. i was pretty impressed.

Mine is from Bavarian AutoSport. Not a Countryman but you get the idea.

Getting mine done by my dealer pre-delivery. At $88 it's not cheap but it's less than some options and I'm confident it'll be done right with a pretty solid guarantee.

how is this holding up? This is my favorite one of all the bumper protectors, but I have a countryman and can't find it available for it.

Anything else out there that is just as good?

I got mine from Todd's Mods at http://motoringbadges.com/TMgraphics.html

I'm really happy with it and it was super easy to install...it says it's for CM's without park distance control but if you have that feature you can easily cut around the sensors with scissors.

I added one to my CMS today, it cost $46 shipped, and I'm very pleased with how it looks.
