High speed driving road noise ... Help

Hi guys I have a 09 mini cooper 6spd, 59k miles, stock.
So today I was on the autobahn going between 110-120 mph and every time I reached 110mph the car would imedately make a really loud humming noise .. Sounded like a humm/whistle.. It was coming from the front driver side corner area ..just wanted to know ideas on what it can be?
The tires are 175/?/15 Yokohamas pretty new( H speed rating ).
And under 110mph the car is quiet , but once I hit 110 and above the noise automatically kicks in .. Any ideas??
Thanks for your time .

A long shot, but I get weird noise from the windshield wipers approaching that speed, trying to lift off the glass.

Thanks for the reply , I will take a look at my wipers and see if it's that on my way home , but on a scale of 1-10 it's about a 61/2 -7 will keep my eye out for that though.
Any other ideas guys ?

bump ... its not the wipers, and it seems to be coming from the middle vent on the dash by the hazzard button, it seems to be a whistle sound at speeds of 100mph+ and it sounds like air is coming in and making that sound..please guys any help ?? thank you for your time..

Just be thankful it starts at 110. My factory roof rack starts to whistle at a mere 62

I would suggest that you do some experimentation with some duct tape. At times the "A" pillars will make a whistle. If you run a strip of tape on them and the whistle goes away you've found the culprit.

Do you have the rack with the downward facing nubs on the front as designed? Verrry important as they almost eliminate noise on mine.

I know this is off topic, but you are making me jealous. The top speed limit on my 60 mile round trip commute is 60 mph. I usually cruise at 70 to 75. I wish I had the problem of trying to figure out a noise at 110-120 mph
