I've had my '12 Cosmic Blue Countryman S for over a month and of course, LOVE IT.
I want to get a towing hitch for this (mostly for a bike rack and small trailer). I've seen 3 types that seem decent. 2 (The Country Link and MiniDoMore both have a better weight rating) and the CooperCrap. I like the lack of modification and ease of install for the CooperCrap. Anyone w/ experience w/ these or recommendations? Thanks for any input on this so, I can make my decision!

i am leaning to the minifini country-link just so i can also get the countryman spare-link to carry an external spare tire for x-country motoring, my winter and summer wheels/tires are just about the same od

Installed many of them and I would recommend the Country Link the highest of them all for towing.

It has actually been tested and rated. It was also simple to install once you remove the bumper.

 

Thanks so far! I'm still a bit uncomfortable with the bumper removal and will likely have to take to a shop (more $$) to install. Still kinda curious if anyone has the CooperCrap hitch and what they think of it. Between the Country Link and the MiniFini I like the Link much better. So, I'm thinking between the other two now.

 

Ooops I meant the Mini Do More not MiniFini (MiniFini is the Country Link). The Mini DO More is out of the running. :-)
