Fall is here and my TPMS told me so!

I know i can count on my Tire Pressure Monitoring System to tell me it is fall in North Texas!

Every year, I receive the dreaded RED Tire Low error on the first cool weekend.

After airing up the crappy runflats, that will be replaced with real tires, I received a first time error....

Key Fob Battery Low. Hello trip for remote CR2032 batteries.

1) How early does your TPMS go off each fall?
First day in 40s.

2) How long des your key fob battery last?
About 2 years, with Comfort Access

Curious as to what pressure you are running your run-flats at (presuming 205-45/17)?

P.S. My CA fob battery lasted 38 months.

I run both winter and summer tires so I haven't seen the TPMS come on yet. I also periodically check the tire pressure - old habits die hard. So far the tires don't seem to loose much air but both sets are less than 18 months old.

Last year my TPMS didn't go off until we(Dallas) had the cold snap in the middle of December. This year, in Boston, it went off a few weeks ago right before the last week of busy season. My tires seem to lose tire pressure the first time it drops below 55 overnight. I have the regular summer performance tires, not the runflats.

My right rear alarmed - 30 psi. I aired them all up to 38 psi and reset the computer and drove around the block to clear the light. I will be more diligent from now on, even though my wife drives it most of the time.

My comfort access key fob battery last more than 3 years before replacement...

I have the original factory runflats.
Pretty certain they are 195s and 16 inch.
When replaced they will be at least 205.

I run @36 psi and air them up every 2 months.
They like to drop to 30 psi, just to annoy me.

Just North of you in OKC. And yep same thing with this recent cold snap. Mine only went to yellow though. AND a day later my key fob (with comfort access) is now low. I think it is like smoke detectors.....check twice a year!

Got a good chuckle out of the title your post because my wife and I joke about the snowflake/ice warning going off in the winter.

1) First day in upper 30's.

2) Almost 3 years, original battery.
