Fontana Village is the hub for the MOTD event and the prefered place to stay for most. They are often full, but you can ask Fontana Village to put you on a wait list, then check back with them every so often. In the meantime, I would strongly suggest you secure some lodging at another location. There are plenty of great choices in our LODGING section of the MOTD site.

I will probably need a place for two people. Floor/couch is fine. I have posted in my local club forum and will check with some friends first. But I guess I can't start too early posting here either.

Just registered, and in need of something at Fontana.

 

I know I'm super late to be asking this, but I just found out that I'm going to be able to attend. I'm really looking to stay close as this is my first time to the Dragon and I don't want to spend it going back and forth to a hotel that's far away. It will be two adult women and hopefully a teenage girl so two beds is ideal, but will make do with what we can get. If anybody has to cancel (sorry, that sucks) it'd be great if you can help me out. I have a double room with 2 queen beds down the hill from the lodge itself and with its own parking area. I am reserved from Tues. thru Sun. morning checkout. My roomie cannot make it to MOTD this year, so his share of the room charge is up for grabs. The room costs $123/night, or $61.50/night per person. My cabin on Welch Road (I think it's 517, maybe 515?) is going to be missing a Motorer this year. I now have a room to share. 2 bedroom Hemlock (1 queen bed, 1 with 2 twins, and I don't care which room I get), 1 bathroom. I'm fairly quiet, not too tough to get along with. Just don't eat all my Pop Tarts and we'll be fine.

Cabin is reserved from Monday, April 29, checking out on Sunday, May 5. $159 per night, grand total after taxes & fees is $1,075. Let's call your half $500 even. (If we split into thirds, let's call yours $350 each, and I'll take the balance)

I just released a room at the Dragon Pitt Inn & BBQ in Maryville TN... it's on the north end of the dragon with delicious food. I had it booked for 4/27-5/5. So if you need a room give Dennis. To Fontana it's about a 40 min drive across the dragon.

Looking for dependable roommate’s for this year’s Dragon. I have a three bedroom Azalea cabin in prime location at Fontana Village across from the rec hall and up the street from the vendors. You can connect to Fontana’s Wi-Fi from the cabin.

Two bedrooms are available, one with twins and one with bunk beds. Split even for the nights you stay and number of people.

I have a single room in the Lodge. It is a large room, with a couch and one king size bed, but could hold a number of folks. It is called a "fire place" room. Send me a PM if interested.

Kinda waited till last minute. We are on the wait list at Fontana, but don't think that will happen. Stayed at a B&B last year, but this year we want to bring our 14 year old. He wants to b up close to all Mini action and bring his RC mini!
If anybody has some suggestions or maybe wants to release a reservation please let me know!
