Don't be sheepish. I have the Dueler HP on my '12. I have no issues with them at all, ride great, handle great, not noisy, no issues. To me the peice of mind that my wife can get her car to a safe place without having to get out and slime the tire is worth having to fork out a few hundred for a couple new ones if need be.

Judge for your self before you spend your coin. I'm actually buying some Beyern rims in 18" and putting the Duelers on them. I have non run flat winters and don't find any differance.

If you are getting the sport suspension, then the difference is minimal...its just a bunch of hype as far as I am concerned.

If your worried about the "noise" then I assume yo arn't planning any mods like exhaust or intake, as they will drown out most road noise no matter the rubber your sporting.

I drive sportingly, on terriable roads, tires are great for me.

If your putting your winters on your stock 18's and going bigger in the spring, then forget everything you just read......

Tom, you make a good point about the advantages of run flats, but I think few people here would agree there's little difference in the ride quality. Just look through the forum, and you will see dozens and dozens of people who have switched, and have had terrific things to say. When we made the switch on our R53, the difference was absolutely dramatic. We still have the Bridgestone RFT's that came on our CM, and while the ride is tolerable (and I agree with your point about the advantage), we will be going to non RFT's (and a couple of cans of Fix a Flat) when they are worn out.

Not a matter of being sheepish, its a preferrence for better performance

I work for Michelin and know the limitations of run flat technology and believe we make a superior product and yes I do get a discount. I'm willing to sacrifice the risk of flat for better handling, better braking performance, comfort and longevity.

Shark715, Thanks.

I wasn't sure if you had any experiance with run flats or Minis but you have been down this road before, sounds like you know what you want and like.
