WOW, BEASTMASTER SPEAKS OUT! ANYONE ELSE?
just read this post by the beast!

so i guess this now explains why you've been quiet about this year's spring fling and why you had to resign as the newsletter editor. personally, i think this is a bunch of BS on the management's part as you were speaking as a fellow consumer.
if the dealership wants wholehearted support, they should shape up and listen to our concerns about their awful service and unprofessionalism. upperlevel management (and even the lower level staff for that matter) have been spreading slanderous statements about me. my lawyer is also aware and now that you have spoken on this issue, i think he will be more than willing to pursue legal action on behalf of both of us. if anyone else has been mistreated in this way and are afraid to post here for fear of retaliation by the dealership, please PM me with your email and i will follow up with you.

>>He didn't think that was a suitable answer and also threatened to pull funding for BMWCCH Driving Schools (Spring Fling and Aloha 500). I then reminded him I was no longer President and that would have to be discussed with the new administration. He was also informed of this and said his other senior managers told him not to punish everyone because of the actions of one person. He then reconsidered the funding. However, he did meet for 3 hours with the former president, current president and DEC of our local chapter. The first hour was his haranguing of myself as former president.
I don't know much about MofH or BMWofH but I do know this is chicken-kukai! I am not looking forward to my first visit to the dealer. (I am probably on the BLACK LIST now......oh well.)

The_ Beastmaster,
I am very sorry to hear about your shoddy treatment by your dealership management. It seems to be pervasive as it comes from Senior Management and trickles its way down to line workers. If you were in California, a lawsuit would have been fired off immediately. Remunerated damages of this kind are usually quite large as the person's character has been irreparably damaged. As my wife has told me, Hawaii is a very small community where everyone knows either yourself or a relative of yours. This being the case, it would be very difficult for you to do any sort of business in Hawaii if these remarks have been spread. I applaud you for taking the high road and not filing suit. It is with my best wishes that I hope your situation will improve.
mini-t,
I, too, am shocked that your dealership has treated you in such a reprehensible manner. I thought The_Beastmaster's incident was isolated, but it is even more disturbing as they have continued this course of action with other consumers.
A dealership does not gain loyalty by treating customers in such a manner. Loyalty is earned by treating the customer right and by doing the right thing.
This type of service at your dealer has me quite concerned about bringing my car to Hawaii, let alone purchase one from your dealer. I am also a vocal consumer and would hate to be treated in the manner your dealer has treated you. I am also not one who will stand still for this and would consult my attorney IMMEDIATELY.
Kindest Regards,
John

Well, this is just awful. I didn't know it could get much worse. What a self-defeating act by MoH management, to speak so badly of the (former) president of BMWCCH!
(Sigh)
There are many things I will miss about Hawaii, but the fear of the dealership won't be one of them. I wish everyone the best of luck in getting this all straightened out.

>>angel - we really need to get you something for your car that says, HAWAII! Maybe a hula dancer for your dash?
Beastmaster - what, the plumeria decals and Hawaiian print seat covers ain't Hawaiian enough??
Everyone loves Hawaii, and I know I will be nostalgic for it when I leave, no matter how much I like England.
