Roll Call: Justa Coopers with ECU Tunes, get in here!

Hey Everyone,

My apologies if there is a thread like this buried somewhere already. I've gone as far as I want to go for the time being modding my Cooper. The suspension is done, I have the exhaust/intake, Sprint Booster is nice, stereo sounds great. I don't want to screw around with heads and cams, I've decided. The cost is too much, and I can see myself getting out of this car and into a BMW in three years or so. That said...

I want it to be just a little quicker and have a little more pull in the lower end while I've got it. I'm thinking about getting a RMW remote tune, as getting to SoCal is a pretty big undertaking. My holidays for next year are already earmarked for Europe.

I'm having a hard time finding any tuned Coopers. I know most chasing performance opt for the S, but there must be a few out there! My expectations aren't outlandish, just a little improvement in power delivery. I know RJ has a WMW tune that sounds promising.

Anyone else out there?

My husband plans on giving his '04 justa an ECU tune very soon. I'll have him chime in when it's done (or I probably will, since he never posts here lol)

Thanks, please do! Any idea where he's planning on having it done?

He's ordering one from UniChip, since no one here in AZ will do an ECU tune on a base MINI, only S models. So he's gonna do it himself.

Unichips don't work as that has been proven many times over the years and the reason they don't even offer it anymore.
The MINI ECU will learn over the Unichip, making the tune useless or even causing you to loose power.
