Is there a way to have ASC Default to off?

I did some searching and could not find anything on this. I saw an "Ian Cull Auto Up" circuit board for the 1st gen, but did not find any R56 info. On my E36 BMW, all I had to do was pull a small cable from the throttle body, and pull the indicator bulb. I'm assuming that because the MINI has a drive by wire throttle, all that magic happens in the throttle circuit.

If the "fix" is not easily reversible, I'm not opposed to that either, as driving in the south has not brought up a need for ASC. Autocross has driven a need to disable it.

Yes, I know I can push the button, but if I don't need it, why bother.

Any help would be appreciated.

I dont see how that helps the OP on a switching circuit for ASC. But then maybe I am missing something.

This may work: http://www.fes-auto.com/products_det...p?productid=24
It says DSC, but ASC is on the same button and it should have the same effect.

If it makes you feel any better...I didn't see the connection either.

Yes, that is definitely an option. It looks like it is the R56 version of the Ian Cull product. Same idea I believe. Thanks!
