have an '08 S. Timing belt et al was already done 2 years ago. brought it to Mini back in May due to engine noise (clatter). they told me the engine noise i am hearing is normal (attributed it to some vacuum flap). I'm not convinced. i am hoping that someone who knows what it should sound like could have a listen. even better if someone might know what it is that is making the sound.
